Metis Strategic Advisors was founded in 2016 by Dave Lake, Trevor Murgatroyd, and Peter van den Steen, in order to pool their diverse skills, expertise, and experience, for the benefit of our clients.
Metis’ service offering is executed by a team in excess of 20 people, from diverse disciplines and backgrounds. Metis has in-house experience spanning decades, in corporate restructuring, strategic advice, M&A, fund raising, banking and the turnaround of distressed projects and enterprises – all backed by solid credentials and a robust track record.
The Knowledge gained from our decades of experience serves as a solid foundation for our service offering.
Services
We are primarily a low volume, niche advisory firm that focuses on the strategic, financial and operational advice and repositioning of our clients and the implementation of such advice, which may include, but is not limited to:
- Designing and implementing balance sheet restructuring strategies, including debt restructuring;
- Developing and implementing operational turnaround strategies;
- Conducting independent business reviews and pre-assessment investigations for potential business rescue and/or turnaround services;
- Carry out debt and equity raising;
- Serving as Chief Restructuring Advisors in corporate restructurings and turnarounds
- Performing the role of business rescue practitioners and advisors in relation to business rescue related matters.
